The EMERALD project has resulted in an office building that sets new standards in many ways. Developed as a climate-neutral new construction for Advanzia Bank, the project was consistently designed with high energy efficiency and a modern, user-oriented work environment in mind. The building meets demanding certification standards such as BREEAM Excellent, DGNB Gold, and the ILFI Zero Carbon criteria, making it one of the flagship projects in the Benelux region.
For the structural frame, the project utilized DELTABEAM® composite beams from Peikko in combination with precast wood-concrete composite slabs. This hybrid construction allows for large spans, a slim slab geometry, and efficient use of materials; at the same time, it creates open floor plans and a smooth ceiling surface, enabling flexible technical and architectural design.
