Fredericia Municipality, in cooperation with the local youth, has created Fredericia Street Bastion - a unique place for street sports at Ungdommens Hus in the centre of Fredericia. The facilities include 800 m² of skate space and a dedicated parkour area.
The design process for the centre involved at least 13 young enthusiasts from the local community. Their active participation has greatly influenced the layout and functionality of the centre, ensuring a strong connection between the needs of young people and the design of the space.
Fredericia Street Bastion offers a total of 1,000 m² of indoor street sports facilities for activities such as parkour, skateboarding, BMX and roller skating.
The project also focuses on promoting communities and creating a space for social relations across age and interests. The aim is to create a meeting place where both physical activity and social interaction can flourish.
We have supplied 8 BESISTA® Rod Systems to the project, which has been involved in the project from the beginning. The BESISTA® Rod System provides a strong, safe and aesthetic solution for stabilizing steel structures. The system is galvanized, which ensures long life and minimal maintenance, and the smart design with hidden threads ensures a clean and elegant look in the building. On this project is the BESISTA® on top of the galvanized surface painted in a nice light gray color.
