In connection with VUC Fyn's existing building at Kottesgade in Odense, a new educational building has now been built, with HF Education programs with room for 600 students. The building contains an orangery and an observatory.
On the south-facing side of the building there is a terressed course with a wide combined walking and sitting staircase, which invites you to take the stairs up outside the house and occupy the terraces on the different floors. Inside the building, the class rooms and other rooms are located along the three other facades, while the central space is reserved to large, open common areas with direct access to the south-facing terraces.
To create the open area around the staircase, curved formwork has been used.
