For the new university campus of Howest in Kortijk, Peikko's DELTABEAM® solution was chosen to be able to create slim floors and keep a lot of flexibility in the layout.
Peikko delivered more than 1,200 meters of DELTABEAM® composite beams for this project.
For DELTABEAM® excellent preparation is needed and the engineering is very important. When the engineering is finalized, the base for a very fast building system is established. At the same time there are benefits for the installation of HVAC, since there is a lot more usuable height available when working with DELTABEAM®.
