The Košice Football Arena (KFA) is a modern stadium in Košice, which was fully completed in 2024. It has a seating capacity of 12,555 and meets the highest UEFA Category 4 standards, allowing it to host international matches, including national team matches. The stadium won the title of Building of the Year 2024 in the civil engineering category and the Public Award for Design and Architecture.
The construction took place in two phases. The first was realized in 2018-2021 and the second phase was realized in 2023-2024. Thanks to the use of Peikko bolted joints, it was possible to make the construction more efficient. The columns were installed quickly and efficiently on bolted joints and on the other hand the efficiency was also enhanced by the fact that the bolts for the second phase were installed during the first phase of construction. As part of the second completion phase, prefabricated columns were installed on pre-installed bolts in the foundations. The delivery included HPM® and PPM® anchor bolts and HPKM® and PEC® column shoes.
