The Rusne Trestle is being built on the road Silutė-Rusne. The unique town Rusnė on the island of the Nemunas delta every sping used to be isolated from the mainland, as the only way to reach it was flooded with the water of the River Atmata.
The 750-meter-long overpass that is being built to improve local traffic is lifted over the road more than 5 meters to avoid flood. Along with the erection of the trestle. Also a 5 km section of the road is being renovated by forming pedestrian and bicycle paths.
Peikko Bolted Column Connections and JENKA® Lifting System were used within this project.
